Every campaign in the Linked Helper Standalone version can have an advanced workflow consisting of several actions with any delays between them or with no delays at all.
Let us briefly review the process of creating a new campaign in different Linked Helper Interfaces and adjusting in as per our needs.
1. Creating a campaign
Linked Helper already has predefined campaign templates, so for the beginning, all you need is to choose one (you can create an empty campaign as well). Here is the list of available templates:
- Empty campaign - a campaign that contains no action at all. You can add any sequence of actions needed by your business / personal goal;
- Invite & Follow Up - invites 2nd and 3rd-degree connections, filter those who accepted your invite, and then sends a "Thank you for connection!" message. You can adjust messages as per your needs.
- Invite 1st to Group - sends an invitation at a group you are a participant of to your 1st-degree connections;
- Invite 1st to follow Organization (Company / School) - sends an invitation to your organization to your 1st-degree connections;
- Visit & Extract Profiles - a simple one-action campaign that visits LinkedIn profiles and extract available information from their profile pages.
- Send InMails - send InMails to 2nd and 3rd-degree connections provided that you have a paid LinkedIn subscription.
- Follow profiles - follow profiles news and updates.
- Endorse 1st connections - endorse 1st-degree connections to get endorsements back.
- Remove 1st connections - remove 1st-degree connections from your network.
- Messaging Sequence - a three follow-up campaign with delays between messages.
Let's imaging you are a freelance recruiter and want to endorse all some of your 1st-degree connections in order to attract their attention to your account and a day later you are going to reach them out regarding an open position in company X. Please, check below how to do that.
If you are using Basic Interface:
- In the Campaign menu click the list of campaigns:
- Choose Create new... option:
- In the pop-up window give your campaign a name (1), choose the type of campaign (2), choose the needed template - Endorse 1st connections, click Create (4):
If you are using Advanced Interface:
- Click the Campaign menu on the left rail, click the New button in the main window:
- In the pop-up window give your campaign a name (1), choose the type of campaign (2), choose the needed template - Endorse 1st connections, click Create (4):
As a result, you will get a campaign with predefined action(s). In our case, there will be only one action between the Start and the Finish of the campaign - Endorse my contacts:
2. Adjusting workflow.
As it was already mentioned at the beginning of the instruction, a Linked Helper campaign can have several actions placed one after another, so profiles can fall down the workflow if it is processed successfully in the current action.
It is always a good idea to have a separate campaign per each message chain since Linked Helper won't collect duplicate profiles into the same list if the profiles were already processed there.
In case you want a group of profiles to be processed in several actions, where every action plays its small role in achieving a common goal - hired employee, for example, - then it makes more sense in combining such actions in one campaign to avoid manual routine work of copying profiles from one list to another and losing your valuable time which can be spent more wisely. After all, automation tools were created to save time and effort, not waste them.
In our case, a message must be sent one day after the profile was endorsed. What we need to do is:
- click Plus sign above or below the action (in our case it's the lower one):
- choose Delay between actions since we need to send a message only on the next day after endorsing, hence every profile must be postponed from moving to the Queue of Message to 1st connections action:
- set the time for which moving every profile to the next action Queue will be delayed:
- the same way described above add another action Message to 1st connections | group members:
The final result we created can be found in the screenshot below.
This campaign's workflow is based on an imaginary case and pursues only one goal which is to give you the very basics of how to create and adjust a campaign.
You are free to create your own workflow using predefined templates or doing it from scratch. There can be as many actions in the workflow as your business goal demands, with or without delays between actions.
It is possible also to:
- delete an action if you do not need it:
- move it up or down provided that there are no profiles in Queue or Processed lists:
- or add a new action to the middle of your workflow:
Check what will happen if you add a new action to the middle of your workflow with already processed profiles:
