There are a lot of articles there, so the search output may contain many irrelevant articles. If you are the type of person who prefers looking for the answer yourself, then you can use these operands which help you locate relevant content in search:
- Find multiple words: Use double quotes (") around each word to find content that contains all those words.
"article" "title" "section" "author"retrieves content that contains all four words, in any order. Make sure you put spaces between the search words, otherwise the search handles the text as one string.
You'll get hits if there is a stemmed version of a word (e.g. articles). You won't get hits where content contains only the words title and section, for example.
If you use single quotes (') around a word, the single quotes are ignored. If you search for
'article' 'title' 'section' 'author', you'll see hits for all content that contains any of the words title or article or section or author (exactly as if you had searched without the single quotes).
- Find a phrase: Use double quotes (") around a phrase to find content that contains all the words in that phrase.
"article title"retrieves all content that contains the words article and title, in that order. You'll also get hits if there is a stemmed version of the word (e.g. articles). You won't get hits where content contains only the word title, for example.
If you use single quotes (') around a phrase, the single quotes are ignored.
- Exclude results containing certain words: Use the minus operator (-) in front of the search term to find content that does not include that word or phrase.
For example, reporting bugs -support returns content containing the words reporting and bugs, but excludes those that contain the word support from the result set.
- Combine operands for advanced search: you can combine the operands above to find a very specific set of results.
For example, "reporting bugs" -support returns hits for content that contains both the words reporting and bugs but does not contain the word support.
The knowledge base has 3 sections:
- Issues & solutions, where the most common problems and issues that users encounter were collected and documented. That includes technical issues.
- User manual is a collection of articles explaining Linked Helper functions and features, manuals for common use cases, tips, and frequently asked questions. The user manual is divided by category and topics.
- News - a section for announcements and news regarding Linked Helper.
If you prefer videos over text instructions, then you can find all our available video tutorials in this section or on the YouTube channel directly. This playlist gets updated from time to time once the new video is released, so you can subscribe to the news - Linked Helper 2 - YouTube
Ask for support
If you have questions or want to submit a request, it can be done in the 'Ask for support' section. Fill in the name, email where you would like to receive an answer, version of the application, message, and up to 5 files relevant to the topic.
If you'd like to submit a bug or an issue, please, consider adding the following info to help us investigate your problem:
- Linked Helper account email (can be found in the upper left corner of the Launcher or in the Linked Helper account menu);
- LinkedIn account instance ID where the issue occurs (can be found in the LinkedIn instance title bar);
- Screenshot or files related to the issue (backup, CSV file, etc.);
- If you want to show a faulty process, record what is happening on the screen. A screenshot or short video could provide a lot of information that you never thought of mentioning. In most cases, it helps to quickly spot the root of the problem and fix it.

- for Mac: Press Command + Shift + 3 keys simultaneously;

How to make a screen recording:
- for Windows 10: use a built-in screen recorder. Press Windows + G keys simultaneously. A game capture bar will appear. Select the 'Record' button (circle);
- for Mac: Press Command + Shift + 5 to bring up the screenshot toolbar;
- Some of the free tools: Loom, Active Presenter, Screencast-O-Matic, etc.
